Examination of the effect of inotropic drugs on the cardiovascular parameters of calves with total artificial hearts under George Pantalos, Ph.D., University of Utah Artificial Heart Laboratory, 1990.

 

In vitro and in vivo studies with Osteogenin (BMP-3) with Timothy Miller, M.D., Division of Plastic Surgery, UCLA School of Medicine, 1992.

• investigated a dose-dependent increase in mineralization and collagen deposition with MC3T3 Cells in a 3-dimensional hydroxyapatite matrix.
• developed a computerized method to quantitate bony ingrowth.
• conducted animal studies of BMP-stimulated ingrowth using a rabbit cranial defect model.

 

Created a database of 250 patients with anterior cervical fusions with Jeffrey Wang, M.D. and Rick Delamarter, M.D., Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, UCLA School of Medicine, 1997-98.
